Today morning, i picked up my TOI infront of my flat,
Next thing i was looking at was the poem by Gulzar, written for "India Poised" campaign of TOI.....
Did not remember all the lines, but one line struck to me instantly and i found it appealing :
"Hindustan Ummeed se Hai....."
How very true? My country is pregnant.... it is so with the new blood that will now be pumped into the development efforts, it is so with the new faces that wants to make a mark over the world, it is so with a new spirit that brings confidence to each and every one of us who lives in, It is so with those thousands of ideas that are making the world notice India in the leagues of a soon to be developed country......
But it is so, with all the pain that takes to be so.... It has to fight through the pains of the problems of basic necessities of a human life.... It is so with the pains for deveoping all parts of its coming future equally and ensuring that it has a healthy tomorrow....... It has all the pains of being pregnant for a bright future which requires, equality, literacy, employment and some joys for each and every one....
Sahi mein " Hindustan Ummeed se hai ".....
